Estonian University of Life Sciences (EMU)

Estonian University of Life Sciences (EMU) is one of six public universities in Estonia and specializes on the niche of bioeconomy. The university focuses on providing higher education and implementing basic and applied research in agriculture, veterinary sciences, landscape management, forestry, food technologies, environmental sciences, engineering and biotechnologies, nature tourism, agricultural economics and rural economy. The university has approximately 500 academic staff and 2800 students studying in 43 study programs in bachelor, master, doctoral level and integrated programs (engineering, veterinary medicine). According to QS World University Rankings by Subject (2022), the Estonian University of Life Sciences is one of top 100 universities in the world in the field of agriculture and forestry.

Role in the project:

To our project, EMÜ will bring the stakeholders of the bio-based sector value chains in Estonia and their knowledge about the social and economic barriers and potential.

It will also exploit the knowledge gained in previous projects and activities to develop new or updated business models and training activities.
